SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Nobody has been hurt in a fire that knocked a San Antonio television station off the air.

Firefighters early Tuesday responded to the blaze at the building housing WOAI-TV at a time when the station does morning newscasts.

Flames were seen on the second story of the structure. Firefighters at times were on the roof.

A statement on the station's website says WOAI-TV was off the air Tuesday due to a fire that had been brought under control and no injuries were reported. The statement says programming would be restored once damage was assessed.

Authorities are trying to determine what sparked the blaze. Fire department officials didn't immediately provide details.
