Cockfighting ring busted
in Dallas

DALLAS (KXAN) - 50 roosters are now under the care of Dallas animal services. They were seized after Dallas police raided a cockfighting ring. Officers arrested two men and handed out 70 citations.

Gregory Case, 55, is charged with running an illegal gambling operation and unlawful possession of a firearm. Animal services is also looking into several neglected dogs that investigators found on the property. A judge will decide what happens to the roosters later next month.
