KILLEEN, Texas (KXAN) - Three people are dead -- and dozens more have no home -- after an overnight fire at an apartment complex in Killeen.

The fire started at the Casa Tejas apartments just after midnight.

The entire two-story building was covered in flames and several people were trapped inside.

One person jumped from the second floor to escape the fire.

Once crews got the fire under control, they found the bodies of two men and woman inside.

Fort Hood officials on Monday released the names of two soldiers who died in the fire. They are Pfc. Michael Sousby, 19, and Pvt. Christopher Michael Sroka, 21.

Sousby's home of record is listed as Mogadore, Ohio. He entered the military in June 2011 as an infantryman. He was assigned to Troop G, 2nd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, since December 2011.

Soulsby's awards and decorations include the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.

Sroka's home of record is listed as Findlay, Ohio, entered the military in February 2012 as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. He was assigned to Company B, 115th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since August 2012.

Sroka's awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.

The woman who died was identified as Kristy Moncrief.

The American Red Cross is helping 35 others who lost their homes.

Circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation, according to Fort Hood officials.
