GRANITE SHOALS (KXAN) - A 19-year-old man was being airlifted to a local hospital after what police are calling a "high-speed school bus collision" near Granite Shoals.

A car occupied by the teen hit a bus from Marble Falls Elementary. The seven children aboard were not injured, according to superintendent Ryder Warren.

The teen was given CPR at the scene before being taken by STAR Flight to University Medical Center Brackenridge. The collision happened around 5 p.m. at RR 1431 West and Honeymoon Ranch Road.

Details are limited, but officials say the school bus collided with a passenger car, and two were transported to hospitals with injuries. Others were treated at the scene. Police said the injuries were in the car, which may have corssed the median and hit the bus.
