SXSW Interactive and Film kick off

Festival attendees line up for badges

AUSTIN (KXAN) - SXSWeek began Friday with film and interactive events throughout the day.

Badge holders lined up at the Austin Convention Center to pick up passes for the 10-day music, film and interactive festival. Friday marked the second day of registration , with ticket booths running from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The interactive portion of the festival runs March 12 to 16. Film runs March 12 to 20 and music runs March 17 to 21.

Badge registration opens again on Saturday at 9 a.m.
