South African spa offers baths in wine

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (NBC/CCTV) - A spa in South Africa is attracting customers by offering a luxurious bath in wine.

The spa is perfectly located to offer wine baths, located in South Africa's wine-producing region.

The treatment has become a popular trend in South Africa.

One client wanted to wash away the stress of the previous year.

"Inside the bath, it feels like a normal bath, and the water is exactly the same,” said spa client Odette Avenant. “But because of the pinotage extract, it does get a lot hotter. So you can actually feel yourself. You do get that sweaty feeling detoxifying, getting rid of all the year's stress. You can definitely feel it's got an effect on you."

An ingredient in the bath is an extract from the seeds of pinotage grapes.
