Best haunted houses in the U.S.

(AP) - Haunted Attraction Magazine unveiled the top 25 Haunted Houses in the country. The staff and its contributors traveled across the country visiting haunted attractions and interviewing haunted house owners about their favorite haunts.

"We think it's too difficult to say that one haunt is better than another," said publisher John Kennedy. "After all, each haunt has its own style, pace and thematic approach."

So, instead of declaring the haunts they like as the "best," the magazine will feature 25 haunts that the staff thinks provide incredible haunting entertainment, unique events and fantastic fun.

"We all have different opinions about what we like in a haunt," said Kennedy. "But, we all know that the best measure of success lies in whether or not your customers scream."
