LOGANVILLE, Ga. (NBC/WXIA) - A Georgia family is honoring Chipper Jones the best way they know how: by carving a maze in the image of the soon-to-be retired player into their 7-acre corn field.
Misty and Lamar Duren of Loganville, Ga., were inspired to plow their feed-grade maize into their favorite Atlanta Braves player.
An aerial view of the Corn Dawgs corn maze shows an image of the seven-time all-star and his jersey number.
Jones is in his final season after spending his 18-year career with the Braves.
The Durens said the maze is of moderate difficulty and takes about 30- or 45 minutes to complete.
There's also a crop carving tribute out in Colorado these days, in honor of Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning.
