FREDERICKSBURG, Texas (KXAN) - A city-county dispute over trees blocking the flight line at the Gillespie County Airport in Fredericksburg has been resolved.
Officials in Gillespie County have agreed to pay the city of Fredericksburg $550,000 to trim and move trees at Lady Bird Johnson Golf Course .
This ends seven months of negotiations.
The FAA ruled last Fall that the trees encroached on landing at the field and subsequently banned instrument flight approaches.
Tree trimming will get underway this week and is expected to take two days.
