(CNN) - One fat cat

The Washington Humane Society is looking for the owner of a 31-pound cat.

It was brought in as a stray over the weekend. Workers said he is friendly and sweet, just needs to lose a little weight. He's even too big to fit comfortably in a kennel.

If the owners aren't found, the plus-sized feline will be put up for adoption.

Horned frog leaving Oklahoma

The Texas horned lizard population has been on the decline in Oklahoma since the 1960s.

Now, biologists are working in a wildlife area at Tinker Air Force Base to stydy the lizard population and learn how to preserve it.

"We have a radio transmitter which we have this lizard's carrying one just like this," said Victor Bogosian, with Southern Illinois University. "This emits a signal and allows researchers to follow them in the field."

The lizards' grassy habitat has been disappearing as cities expand and it's main food source, ants, has been on the decline due to the use of pesticides.

Robins find a porch home

A family of robins has taken up residence on the porch of this Iowa restaurant.

The owner didn't want to disturb the nest by moving it, so it's become quite a curiosity for restaurant patrons, though they won't get too close to the babies as Mom is very protective.
