Pfc. Isaac Young, 22, dead at Fort Hood

FORT HOOD, Texas (KXAN) - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a soldier who died of injuries as a result of a gunshot wound Sept. 23 in Killeen, Texas.

Pfc. Isaac Lawrence Young, 22, whose home of record is listed as Ash Grove, Mo., entered active duty service in May 2011 as a motor transport operator.

He arrived at Fort Hood in October 2011 and was assigned to the 154th Transportation Company, 180th Transportation Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), Fort Hood, since September 2012.

Young's awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon

Circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation.
