CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - Former San Marcos CISD teacher Steven De Leon was arrested in Bexar County after being charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child earlier this week.
Caldwell County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for his arrest on Thursday.
De Leon, 39, resigned on Tuesday after the district placed him on administrative leave after a parent claimed De Leon had an inappropriate relationship with their child.
De Leon was a teacher at Travis Elementary School.
The alleged relationship is thought to have occurred last summer, and did not occur on school property.
According to Bexar County Jail records, De Leon was booked into the jail late Thursday night.
