AUSTIN (KXAN) - An anonymous tip led police to an undercover sex ring and landed a woman in jail according to officials.
Detectives with the Austin Police department’s organized crimes division were led to a residence located at 8400 Jamestown Drive in North Austin.
An undercover officer with the human trafficking/vice unit called a number found on the website Bodyworks ofAustin.com and spoke to a woman who said she was Kara Winters.
When the officer arrived he was greeted at the door by Winters, who was later identified as Jayme Gage, wearing black spandex and a blouse.
Gage asked the officer to disrobe and left the room. When she returned Gage was wearing a black panties and bra.
Police said Gage began a massage then asked the officer to turn onto his back and placed her hands on his genitals, then the officer stopped her. At the end of the service Gage requested $200 for the service.
After a search warrant, police gathered statements and found the business was managed by Gage. Witnesses said she employed females to provide sensual massages and engage in sexual conduct for a fee taking half of the money earned.
Gage is being held in the Travis County jail under a $4,000 bond. She is charged with a 3rd degree felony of Aggravated promotion of prostitution.
