CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) - Cedar Park police have found a 2 1/2-year-old boy who went missing from his home early Friday morning.
Authorities said they found Drake McClendon with his 28-year-old mother, Ashley McClendon, in Austin on Guadalupe Street. She does not have custody of the boy, but police said Drake was taken from his home still wearing pajamas.
Police responded to the report of the child missing at 4:50 a.m. Friday from near the area of Prize Oaks Drive and West Whitestone Boulevard, also known as FM 1431.
Hours later, authorities said they found McClendon and the boy, who is reportedly safe.
KXAN News looked into McClendon's criminal history and found several arrests, mostly on marijuana possession and property theft charges.
Police have now charged her with intent to kidnap and burglary, though other charges are pending.
