PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) - Round Rock Police Department arrested two people after they found two pounds of marijuana in a Pflugerville apartment where they were executing a search warrant to arrest a man who was a suspect in a separate crime.
Police were executing a search warrant for Cody Luckie, 19, when they found the marijuana.
Police arrested Karina Bogantes and Leon Morris, who were inside the apartment. Morris admitted to police that the marijuana was his, according to police.
Luckie is charged with aggravated robbery of two victims who were beaten and robbed after they arrived at a party Saturday night at the Colonial Grand at Ashton Oaks apartments on A.W. Grimes (FM 1460). Two other suspects in that crime remain on the loose.
When officers entered the Pflugerville apartment, they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in all of the bedrooms, according to the police report.
The find included 16 ounces of marijuana in a sealed bag under one bed, more than seven ounces in a container under the bathroom sink and another ounce in a glass jar under the sink.
The crime Luckie was allegedly involved in included two other suspects who remain on the loose. The victims from the Saturday night crime told police when they arrived at an apartment in Round Rock for a party, one of them was tackled while the other was hit in the head with a handgun.
Police did not indicate that Bogantes and Morris are the two suspects in the Saturday beating and robbery.
The victims in Saturday's incident were punched and kicked while a third person pointed a gun at them, according to court documents.
The suspects allegedly bound the hands and feet of one of the victims with packing tape and covered his mouth with tape. According to the affidavit, the suspects carried the bound victim into a wooded area while the second victim was marched into the woods, being told that he would be killed if he turned around.
Once the suspects left the scene, the victims called police.
Round Rock police continue to investigate the case and are looking for the two suspects.
