LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) - Authorities are investigating a fight between cousins that ended with one person dead in Leander on Wednesday morning.
Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Wade said the call came in at 9:49 a.m. of a stabbing in the 22900 block of Big Sandy Drive.
The stabbing stemmed from a family violence disturbance.
STARFlight transported the victim, James Prestage, 41, to University Medical Center Brackenridge but he died a short time later.
Prestage's 47-year-old cousin was taken into custody. Both men were living at the house. KXAN News is not naming the individual in custody because he has not been charged at this time.
Detectives are still collecting evidence and talking to witnesses to determine what happened and what charges will be filed in this case.
