LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) - The Williamson County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a hostage situation on Tejas Trail in Leander after officials tried serving a warrant at a home.
Authorities said they were trying to serve a warrant for unpaid child support when a man slipped into a shed near the home, taking a woman with him.
Officials took that man into custody, and he is being evaluated. Meanwhile, charges are pending.
The street is northeast of the intersection of Bagdad Road and Osage Drive and east of U.S. Highway 183.
A couple blocks were shut off during the situation, and while Leander High School is nearby, school officials were not on lockdown. They were, however, monitoring the situation as it developed.
There were no other details immediately available.
