GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) - A suspicious found in the parking lot of a Chase bank in Georgetown has traffic around the area of West University and Interstate Highway 35 detoured.
Just after 3 p.m., Lt. Todd Terbush with Georgetown Police Department said a caller saw someone in a white four-door vehicle drive through the bank's parking lot and throw out a black bag in front of the bank.
The bag landed in the grass on the curb.
Since Georgetown PD doesn't have a bomb squad, Austin police were called to assist.
The bag will be checked out to determine if there is anything suspicious inside.
Update at 7 p.m.: The scene has cleared. Nothing suspicious was found in the bag.
