WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - A fire destroyed a structure near Stoney Point High School in Williamson County Monday morning.

Firefighters responded to the call at 1109 Thorn Creek Place and determined the building was a total loss.

The Round Rock Fire Department said two firefighters were transported to the hospital for heat exhaustion.

The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived at 7 a.m., with flames shooting through the roof. They said the fire was so intense in the attic area, they had to pull out and fight the fire outside after being inside and pulling down the ceiling to fight the flames.

No one was home at the time.

Officials said nine fire units and about 20 firefighters responded to the blaze.

No cause has yet been determined and the investigation is ongoing.
