LIBERTY HILL, Texas (KXAN) - Williamson County has issued an arrest warrant with charges of murder for 20-year-old Zachary Ryan Price in the stabbing death of his mother’s boyfriend in their Liberty Hill home.
Authorities haven’t been able to find Price yet
On July 3, Williamson County deputies were called to the home of 303 Spring Grove Drive because of a disturbance and stabbing.
When police arrived Richard Meyers was lying on the kitchen floor. He had been stabbed at least four times in the upper torso and there were also cuts to his hands.
Price’s mother told detectives that her son stabbed and killed Meyers during a argument about a $300 veterinarian bill for an injured cat he found in the neighborhood.
The arrest warrant affidavit quoted a teenage witness as saying, “Why did you do that? You’re going to jail now”
The affidavit said Price responded, “He deserved it.”
