Weak cool front brings cooler weather

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A few scattered showers are likely across the area throughout the next several days.

And the cooler weather is a result of a weak cool front that is heading north.

A wave of showers coming up out of the Southeast could give us a slightly better chance for showers Friday. However, just minimal opportunities are expected through the weekend.

"It's raining in Pflugerville!!!" wrote in Jennifer Foote at 6:19 a.m.

The cooler temperatures couldn't come at a better time, as tens of thousands of people are expected to visit Zilker Park for the annual Austin City Limits Music Festival -- now in its 10th year.

While the temperatures have dipped a bit, festival organizers made sure to prepare for the heat at ACL with extra shade, misting stations and fans throughout the park.
