TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - A 12-inch water main break has shut off water for 500 people in Travis County Water District 18 in western Travis County.
A spokesperson with the water district attributed the break at 300 South Tumbleweed Trail to the ground shifting due to the dry weather our area has been experiencing.
The spokesperson said crews are still working to fix the break. In the meantime, residents should continue to boil their water until further notice. Boiling water destroys harmful bacteria and other microbes.

Officials will test the water once it is restored to make sure that no contamination took place during the main break.
