Truck flips over; driver dies at Brack

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A man died at Brackenridge hospital early Saturday morning after he was ejected from the truck he was driving on FM 2222.

Austin Police says a 911 call came in around 12:30 a.m. reporting a reckless driver on Mopac but had lost them. The caller continued contact with emergency services and reported 9 minutes later that they located the truck flipped over in the 4900 block of FM 2222.

EMS responded to the scene and found the man ejected from the vehicle. It is unclear if he was wearing a seat belt.

Police have not yet identified the man who was killed pending the notification of next of kin.

This marks Austin’s 60th traffic fatality in 2009.
