AUSTIN (KXAN) - The big band is literally a “big band” with 15 band members. The Vintage 15 swoon hearts and ears with their traditional smooth jazzy tunes taking listeners back to the days of Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra. Married duo Hans and Rachel Stockenberger blend their classical vocals with piano and horns creating a happy sound that makes you want to tap your feet and snap your fingers bringing back memories of the music your parents grew up with.
The rest of the band of twenty-to-thirty-something-year-old jazz lovers adding their talents are, Steve Moreland - Bandleader/Trumpet; Hans and Rachael Stockenberger - Lead Vocals; Owen Summers, James Martinez, Wes Peart, Robert Perkins– Sax; Jon Merz, Tori Moreland, Jonathan Schuab – Trombone; John Zarsky, Iram Reys – Trumpet; Mike St. Clair, Derek Tarnow, Zach Knox, Jason Flenniken - Rhythm Section.
