AUSTIN (AP) - The widow of the disgruntled taxpayer who flew his single-engine plane into an Austin building housing Internal Revenue Service offices said she prays for the widow and family of the other man killed in the crash.

Joe Stack flew his plane into the building on Feb. 18, killing himself and 68-year-old IRS employee Vernon Hunter. The Austin American-Statesmen reports that Sheryl Stack spoke publicly for the first time on Sunday at a benefit for her and her daughter. They lost their home in a fire that federal officials have said they believe Joe Stack set just before the crash.

At the benefit, held at the Bachus Conservatory , members of the Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church , which Hunter attended, joined members of the Berkeley United Methodist Church that Stack attended.
