Qua sued after alleged assault

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A patron filed suit against Qua nightclub, alleging that she was sexually assaulted by employees.

The incident took place last week just outside the nightclub on West Fourth Street.

When the alleged victim got sick and curled up on a bench, club bouncers reportedly took her out the back exit.

Friends later found the girl laying in a back alley, claiming bar employees had sexually assaulted her. 

The lawsuit alleges the club failed to protect the woman and was negligent in hiring and supervising workers.

Austin police said the criminal investigation is ongoing. 

Meanwhile, nightclub parent company Yassine Enterprises did not return requests for comment.
