BASTROP COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - Seemingly right out of a movie, the intense Central Texas firestorm spewed hulking smoke clouds into the sky against the blue backdrop that could no longer be seen for miles along the horizon.

The billowing beasts shrouded a water tower so much that the white structure could barely be seen -- transforming the movie-like scene into a sobering reality.
