AUSTIN (KXAN) - As rain totals reach and surpass the 1-inch mark in parts of Central Texas, more showers and occasional thunderstorms are expected through the afternoon.

There is an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory until 11:45 a.m. for Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and Williamson counties.

Much of this will diminish by Friday night with only scattered clouds for Saturday morning and sunshine and 70s for Sunday afternoon.

This latest round of showers was far more serious for the Texas Gulf Coast, with numerous reports of 3 inches to 10 inches of rainfall.

Although no severe weather is expected, we already have widespread concerns for flash flooding on the Texas Coast, and Urban and Small Stream Advisories are possible locally, if heavy rains continue.

Commuters will likely have a slick commute home and a few showers are still possible into the evening.
