Hwy 290 re-opened after fatal crash

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - U.S. Highway 290 is re-opened at Fitzhugh Road following a fatal crash around 6 a.m. Friday. It had been shut down for more than five hours.
Few details have been released on the crash in extreme western Travis County.
Travis County deputies turned the investigation over to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers on the scene said one vehicle, and perhaps two, were involved in the crash. They said at least one person died in the crash, but no other details were provided.
