AUSTIN (KXAN) - A sign the holidays are right around the corner is the annual Junior League Christmas Affair.

It starts Wednesday night at the Parmer Events Center. Then, Thursday morning begins the market days with more than 200 merchants selling their items.

Admission is $12 and all the money raised goes to help the nonprofits sponsored by the Junior League.

"When you walk in the door, you can feel good about the shopping that you do, because you know your dollar is going directly back into the stomach of a hungry child or get a woman a suit to go on a job interview," said Kathi Haralson, president of the Junior League of Austin.

A Christmas Affair runs through Sunday.
