AUSTIN (KXAN) - The jury in the Scott Lando trial began a second day of deliberations on Tuesday morning. No verdict was returned despite 6 hours of deliberating after closing arguments were made on Monday.
Lando, a former Austin police officer, is multiple charges in connection to incidents in 2006 when he allegedly took drugs from crime scenes he worked and gave them to a prostitute as a form of payment.
The current trial is for the drug charges. Charges of misuse of information and aggravated assault by a peach officer are still pending.
Lando faces up to two years in prison if convicted.
