Jam Fest highlights high school bands

AUSTIN (KXAN) - High school bands take center stage this weekend in Austin during Jam Fest.

Some eight bands and singers will be performing at the Belmont Saturday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. All of the proceeds benefit the Eanes Education Fund.

Austin singer Georgia Napolitano is also one of the performers who just made her first CD at 17 years old.

"I'm really trying to promote my singing and get experience, so I've been going to LA quite a bit and doing some different auditions. And it's really, really fun," said Napolitano.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Front Gate Tickets or at the Belmont.

The headliner is "Nelo."
