AUSTIN (KXAN) - An Austin woman has created an iPhone app that has folks moving to their own groove.

iSweat2theBeat is music geared toward your every footstep.

"I like to workout to the music but realized when I listened to a song that matched my footpace, I'd get that extra groove, extra funk and I'd work harder and longer," said iSweat2theBeat app creator Jennifer Reyes.

Jennifer Reyes is an Austin stay-at-home mom, and she came up with the idea of iSweat2theBeat after training for a triathlon.

"It's a database of 70,000 songs that are all listed by beat-per-minute,” said Reyes. “So, you can go in and search under some exercise topics. Walking, running, cycling, the elliptical machine."

The app helps you with a few calculations, and within minutes, you have your heartbeat per minute. Then, you pick the type of music you like - whether it is rock, R&B or country - and create your own play list of energizing songs.

It is a process Reyes never thought she would create.

"It is a tedious process,” said Reyes. “It took about six weeks for the actual development, and that was working with Object Deaf Corp out of New York, which I found off of Google and just did some research on my own."

Apple kicked her idea back once, but was eventually accepted. Reyes gets a cut of the subscriptions.

The good news is the isweat2theBeat application is only $1.99, and you can download all the music that you want from it.

"It's kinda incredible," said Reyes.

Her creation is being heard all over the world.
