BURNET COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - Burnet County Sheriff W.T. Smith said a woman’s body was located in Inks Lake Thursday morning after being swept away by flood waters. She was later identified as Karen Ann Eichelberger, 47.

Eichelberger reportedly called her husband at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and said she was on her way home from work. She worked at a cookie factory in Austin. She never returned home, however.

A farmer going to clear some brush Thursday morning spotted her vehicle, and her body was found a half-mile downstream on the Johanson Ranch.

Shortly after the vehicle was found, her husband made a missing person’s report. However, that is when sheriff’s deputies told him his wife had been found dead. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, one in high school and the other is older.
