MASON, Texas - A truck carrying propane toppled over Thursday in town square of the Hill Country community of Mason, forcing officials to evacuate the area for several hours as a precaution.
Mason County Judge Jerry Bearden said the truck driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. It did not appear that the truck was leaking, Beardon said.
The wreck occurred around 9 45 a.m. and no other vehicles were involved.
The roadway was reopened to traffic by 3:30 p.,.
Mason is about 110 miles west of Austin on State Highway 29.
