KINGSLAND, Texas (KXAN) - Early Saturday morning in Kingsland it happened again. A fire called in to fire officials about 1:30 a.m. was this time in the 300 block of Pecan Drive.

Investigators say the fires are making residents uneasy.

"We have a lot of people that are apprehensive about the fires that have happened in the past," said Llano County Sheriff Bill Blackburn, "and here we have another fire."

Too many fires for this little lakeside town of 5,400, say investigators. This one is suspicious enough to call in arson experts, at fire number 22 in Kingsland this year.

Investigators are still going through the vacant, burned home to try to figure out if there's a connection between this fire and the rest of them.

"It's a little scary when you have a big flame that close to your house," said Gay Delz, who lives next door. "A little scary is an understatement."

As did her neighbors, Delz woke to the sound of a loud boom, then realized their own home was at risk of catching a flame.

"It was already the complete house engulfed in flames, probably 30- to 40 feet, shooting above the top story," said Gelz. "It was huge."

Blackburn said the investigation at the site will continue for another day, and whether this fire is related to others that have stressed the entire town is yet to be determined.

Either way, Blackburn said they feel good about figuring out who is behind this.

"We have some good evidence and we also have good investigators on the job," said Blackburn. "We feel that we'll come to the right conclusion and disposition of this."
