FREDERICKSBURG, Texas (KXAN) - Snow fell along with sleet and freezing rain in Fredericksburg on Sunday, accumulating on yards and roofs.

Kirby Davis drove into town from the West, his car was covered in ice and slush.

"You can see that it's almost solid ice all the way to the tire, you can see the tire treads." he said, showing ice caked in his wheel well. "The g randkids wondered why Opie was driving so slow."

Erica & Adam Hilkemann were in town from Dallas to celebrate Valentine's Day.

"A nice Valentine's Day weekend turned out pretty cold," said Erica. "It's kind of fun, something different."

"It was supposed to be nice weather, but we didn't get lucky I guess," said Adam.

Some said the weather was "miserable."

Cathy Winkler was in town from Kansas City, and did not like what she found.

"We love to come down here because it's warmer than Kansas, but not this year," she said. "It hasn't snowed in Kansas, hasn't sleeted in Kansas. We had to come down to warm Fredericksburg."
