BURNET COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - An unoccupied home that might have been used as a hunting cabin near Lake Travis in Burnet County was destroyed by fire on Monday.

Teri Frietag, a spokeswoman for Burnet County, said someone from the Spicewood side of the lake called in to report the fire burning near Ranch Road 1431 and Azure Highland Drive.

When crews arrived, the structure was engulfed in flames. It was declared a total loss. Officials were trying to locate the property owner Monday afternoon.

The cause remained under investigation.
