DRIPPING SPRINGS, Texas (KXAN) - A fatal rollover crash happened just after 2 p.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of Fitzhugh Road in Dripping Springs. Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to the scene because of a fatality.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the driver was a male and there were five passengers in the vehicle.
Initial information indicates the driver was driving at an unsafe speed when he ran off the road, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle. One passenger, Lindsey Neal, 16, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Neal was a student at Dripping Springs High School.
Two other individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment, their conditions are not known at this time.
Authorities said two of the people in the car were from the Lake Travis area and the rest were from Dripping Springs.
