FREDERICKSBURG, Texas (KXAN) - Fredericksburg police are looking for a robbery suspect whom they say pulled a knife on a church worker and demanded money.

It happened around 9 a.m. on Jan. 9 at Memorial Presbyterian Church on North Milam Street .

The worker at the church, who asked not to be identified for safety purposes, said she came into work and was sitting at a desk when the door chime sounded, indicating someone had entered the building.

When the worker turned around, a man was standing there. He had longer hair and was wearing a green cargo jacket.

According to the worker, the man demanded money and when she did not have any to give, the man allegedly pulled out a knife.

The worker ran into a bathroom to call 911 and the man kicked in the door but then fled, the alleged victim said. The worker said she had never seen the man before.

Fredericksburg police responded to the attempted-robbery-in-progress call, but by the time they got there, the man was gone.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man in the drawing attached to this story, or has information in this case, to call Crime Stoppers at 512-997-TIPS (8477).
