Massive wildfire in Blanco County

BLANCO COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - At least five fire departments are on the scene of a massive wildfire in Blanco County. The heart of the fire is at East Highway 290 and Middle Creek Road. That area is southwest of Downtown Austin. The fire is north of Blanco, west of Dripping Springs, east of Luckenbach and south of Johnson City.

Several fire departments are on scene, including Henly, Johnson City, Round Mountain, Blanco and the Texas Forestry Service.
