BURNET, Texas (KXAN) - Burnet firefighters extinguished flames at the same mobile home officers raided for methamphetamine Oct. 27. Jeffrey and Jason Nobles, a father and son, were arrested at their home in the 1200 block of Sherrard Street and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance more than 400 grams in a drug-free zone, possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and abandonment and endangering a child. The home sits a few houses down from a daycare.
Saturday afternoon, just after 1:00 p.m. a neighbor called 911 after spotting flames shooting from the back of the home. No one had been allowed inside the home following the meth bust. The fire gutted the home. The Burnet Fire Marshal ruled the fire accidental. He believed a faulty computer cord in the living room sparked the fire.
