Business still open after fire

BURNET, Texas (KXAN) - A Saturday morning fire destroyed Minuteman Rentals in Burnet. The Burnet fire marshal said the security system auto-dialed 911 after fire burned through a wire at 11:20 a.m. When a Burnet police officer showed up a the scene, he spotted a glow towards the back of the building.

It took 19 firefighters four hours to entirely extinguish the blaze. Most of the shop burned, but the fire stopped short of destroying computers and financial paperwork.

Investigators went back to the scene Sunday and Monday, and believe an electric short or a heater that was left on could have been the cause. The fire did not slow down Minuteman's sales. The owners are currently conducting business out of an RV.
