AUSTIN (KXAN) - An undercover burglary operation by the Austin Police Department yielded thousands of dollars worth of stolen items.

APD’s Burglary Unit just ended the undercover operation this week.

Search warrants were executed at 9503 and 9505 Parkfield Drive, just off of Rundberg Lane in north central Austin.

Inside the homes, detectives found stolen items ranging from high-end bicycles to air-soft guns.

Detectives said during the investigation they found out that the Google "street images" actually shows a stolen trailer in the image.

Approximately $5,000 were confiscated from the two residences.

Jesus Salazar-Gonzalez and Jose Mendoza have been charged with theft by appropriateion, but more charges are pending.
