KYLE, Texas (KXAN) - Two people were hurt, one critically, in a head-on collision that happened Monday afternoon on the access roads near the 213-mile marker of Interstate Highway 35 near Kyle.
A woman who was the driver of a gold-colored Plymouth Neon involved in the crash was airlifted via STARFlight to an area hospital with critical injuries. Her female passenger, a teenager, was taken by ambulance to Dell Children's Hospital.
Police said the Neon was traveling northbound on I-35, just south of Center Street and exited at the FM 150 ramp, where it collided with a 2010 Lexus E350, which was traveling southbound on the access road. The road is two-way at this location.
The occupants of the Lexus were treated at the scene. They included one adult male, one adult female and one teenage passenger. Police do not believe their injuries were serious in nature.
Kyle police are on the scene investigating the crash.
