SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) - Hays County Crime Stoppers is assisting the San Marcos Police Department in the effort to solve two robberies that occurred Sept. 18.
Police are looking for two men in two separate robberies that happened minutes away from each other. One incident took place around the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Comanche Street.
The first victim, a male, was assaulted with a firearm and his wallet taken. Minutes later another robbery occurred at "Taqueria Mazatlan" restaurant where the victim was struck with a handgun.
The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money, cellphones and identification cards. Some of the stolen property was found in a trash bin and sent to a laboratory for testing.

Both men were in their early 20s, with average builds. They were seen using a tan or gold passenger car, possibly a Ford or Toyota, according to police.
Those with information that could help the San Marcos Police Department solve this crime are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-8477.

If information provided leads to the arrest and indictment of either man, tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. All calls are confidential and all callers will remain anonymous. Tipsters do not have to give their names and do not have to testify in court.
