SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) - A 57-year old San Marcos bicycle rider was in critical condition at University Medical Center at Brackenridge in Austin after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday on Highway 123.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and called 911 after the crash that occurred around 6:20 a.m. He told police that he did not see the cyclist until after the crash. The cyclist was taken by to University medical Center Brackenridge in Austin.
The matter is under investigation.
