Chief says 'credible information' refutes claim

KYLE, Texas (KXAN) - The Kyle Police Department said Wednesday that the reported assault of a high school student earlier this week did not occur.

Police Chief Jeff Barnett said he officers have credible information indicating that the events as initially described did not occur and the investigation is being closed.

“Crimes of this nature will always be priorities for our department and we are glad that this particular incident can be put to rest”, said Barnett.
