AUSTIN (KXAN) - Slick streets and a foggy morning commute contributed to more than 75 accidents around the Austin area between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m.Thursday, according to the Austin Police Department. One of those accidents included a rollover in South Austin. Wet roads caused the driver of a Saturn SUV to lose control at Westgate Boulevard and William Cannon. Despite the scene though, no one was hurt, and the driver thinks his car will be fine to drive.

"I pretty much braced myself," said driver Stephen Guerra. "I tried to have any control over the vehicle I could. I'm glad no one was hurt and I was okay. Thank God."

The driver of an 18-wheeler also lost control this morning on IH-35 near Buda. Fuel spilled out onto the highway, causing the southbound main lanes to shut down for hours. The highway reopened just before 11 a.m.
