(KXAN) - Georgetown plans to hold its traditional Fourth of July fireworks show Monday night, and also is having a carnival and parade in a local park. Other towns are also planning events to celebrate Independence Day.
GEORGETOWN
A festival area at San Gabriel Park opened at 11 a.m. with 60 arts and crafts vendors, 20 food vendors, a petting zoo, train rides, children’s rides, and face painting. Starting after the parade and throughout the afternoon and evening, entertainers will perform at the gazebo in San Gabriel Park.
The "Hometown Parade" followed.And the fireworks is scheduled to begin about 9:30 p.m. and will be launched from the McMaster Athletic Fields on North College Street.
CEDAR PARK
In lieu of fireworks, the city is hosting celebration performance by ArcAttack at Elisabeth Milburn Park, 1901 Sun Chase Blvd. ArcAttack was recently featured on America's Got Talent.
BUDA
At 6 p.m., there will be a free concert with thre bands -- Kevin Smith Band, Keith Kelso Band and The Trishas. The paid inflatable kids activities and concessions will still be available in the evening at City Park.
